Why the Middle East?

The UAE is renowned as the key business hub of the Persian Gulf region and is second to none in terms of economic growth. Working in the UAE can fast-track anyone’s career with many industries viewing experience gained in the Middle East invaluable and difficult to match elsewhere.

In terms of living and working there, the UAE’s population is over 70% expatriates with English being the main language; especially within the business community. This, combined with one of the world’s lowest crime rates, the highest rate of tolerance of other cultures, and a lively scene with very few social barriers, makes integration and long term career prospects both easy to achieve and rewarding.

In relative terms the UAE is still a developing economy and is growing exponentially with not enough people to fill the job vacancies, therefore salaries are lucrative and up to triple the value of other developed nations. This also includes the fact there’s no income tax and a 15% lump sum of a candidate’s yearly salary being paid when they leave the country, if they’ve worked there for more than 2 years.

As well as the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are now booming markets. Qatar is preparing for the World Cup in 2022 and is currently commissioning very large infrastructure and building projects. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also very busy with unprecedented levels of work going on in order to improve the Country’s infrastructure ranging from high speed rail networks, hospitals, universities, oil & gas resource industries to large bespoke projects such as the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh.
