Why the Middle East?

The UAE is renowned as the key business hub of the Persian Gulf region and is second to none in terms of economic growth. Working in the UAE can fast-track anyone’s career with many industries viewing experience gained in the Middle East invaluable and difficult to match elsewhere.

In terms of living and working there, the UAE’s population is over 70% expatriates with English being the main language; especially within the business community. This, combined with one of the world’s lowest crime rates, the highest rate of tolerance of other cultures, and a lively scene with very few social barriers, makes integration and long term career prospects both easy to achieve and rewarding.

In relative terms the UAE is still a developing economy and is growing exponentially with not enough people to fill the job vacancies, therefore salaries are lucrative and up to triple the value of other developed nations. This also includes the fact there’s no income tax and a 15% lump sum of a candidate’s yearly salary being paid when they leave the country, if they’ve worked there for more than 2 years.

As well as the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are now booming markets. Qatar is preparing for the World Cup in 2022 and is currently commissioning very large infrastructure and building projects. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also very busy with unprecedented levels of work going on in order to improve the Country’s infrastructure ranging from high speed rail networks, hospitals, universities, oil & gas resource industries to large bespoke projects such as the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh.

We have been working with Ty Say at eRecruit Solutions for a number of years now and have found his engineering background, recruitment expertise, contacts  and knowledge enables him to find very high-calibre candidates for our organisation. eRecruit Solutions go the extra mile in fully understanding our business’ culture and needs. Their focus on quality and not quantity means that I know every candidate that is put forward is fully screened and vetted and is going to be an excellent match for our requirements. I have worked with other recruitment organisations over the years, and get approached by new ones all the time, but I know that I can trust eRecruit Solutions to deliver every time.

We have been using eRecruit for a number of years now and find that we always receive a very good calibre of CVs through them. A nationwide campaign is a cost effective way of reaching hundreds of candidates who may be missed out otherwise if we only concentrated on one or two main UK cities. The CVs are also filtered through before being sent over for review which saves us a lot of time sifting through the great from the not so great applications!
As we recruit continuously as a company, we find this a straight forward way of finding candidates and the relationships that we have built up with Dave, Jon and Mary over the years makes it very easy to organise the campaigns.

Having had concerns about dealing with a UK recruitment organisation to source candidates for roles in the UAE, I was delighted with the results of our first campaign with eRecruit Solutions. They took time to understand our business, and the type of individuals we needed. Their client services team was very responsive and we received large numbers of high calibre pre-screened candidates in a short period of time. We have made offers to four candidates from the campaign. All this for a one-off flat fee, which has saved us thousands of pounds from our previous recruitment methods. I will undoubtedly use eRecruit Solutions again when we next to look to hire more sales/property consultants.
