Exciting news! It seems that award season is upon us. While we’re still waiting to receive our Oscar nominations (presumably lost in the post) we have been nominated for some of the biggest and shiniest recruitment awards around. . Such an achievement is definitely worth shouting from the rooftops, so here’s what we’re in the running for and why.
Marketing and Advertising Recruitment Awards 2014
We’re in the running for the recruitment innovation category mostly for the creation of our online digital careers resource, Career Savvy. We have an in-house team working solely on the production of the magazine and running of the Career Savvy site, which provides free advice to not only our candidates, but students, graduates and anyone looking for help with their career. The idea for Career Savvy sprouted from a desire to help more candidates secure a role, helping with aspects of their application such as CVs, cover letters and how best to approach employers. It has since developed into a resource that offers advice on education, training and career progression, as well as the all-important CV and interview advice. To read the latest issue, click here.
We’ve also been put in the category for Agency of the Year, so fingers crossed for that one, too!
REC IRP Awards 2014
Best Corporate and Social Responsibility Practitioners.
To be recognised for social responsibility and best practise means a lot to us, especially as a lot of recruitment companies get tarred with a bad brush. What sets us apart is, again, the production of Career Savvy, free career advice available to a large pool of jobseekers, students and graduates. Helping more people secure a role has been a focus for us for over a year now, so it’s great we’re getting recognised for it. As well as offering free impartial advice, we’re always at the end of the phone to help candidates with their applications to our client vacancies.
We kicked things off in the Summer with being nominated for a Bristol Business Post Award for contribution to the community, which we didn’t win, but we got dressed up all fancy and had a brilliant evening. As a small close-knit team going up against some of the big dogs, we’re chuffed just to have been nominated. But here’s hoping we’re in with a good chance of winning!
